The inaugural John Deeble Lecture was presented at Parliament House on the 18th of October 2019 by the Australian Healthcare and Hospitals Association. In the inaugural lecture, Professor Nigel Edwards (CEO Nuffield Trust) considered some of the more common dysfunctions in health policy formation and implementation, and offered possible solutions to these issues.

We reflect on the remarkable understanding that is generously shared by indigenous peoples; particularly framing health and wellbeing in a deeply holistic way that both encompasses people and place.
